
Corporate Policy
Objectives
GARRAMONE Ambiente e Servizi SRL, hereinafter referred to as “Garramone,” in pursuing its objectives and increasing its market competitiveness, has decided to establish a Quality, Environment, Health, and Safety System (SQASS), an Organizational, Management, and Control Model in compliance with Legislative Decree 08/06/2001 n.231 and to integrate it with an Anti-Corruption System appropriate to the context and purposes of the organization with the aim of:
- Prohibiting corruption;
- Ensuring that our clients receive a service that meets the agreed requirements (proper execution, efficiency, and punctuality);
- Increasing our market presence;
- Evolving according to new market needs;
- Properly managing environmental issues and those related to the health and safety of workers;
- Ensuring all fundamental rights and freedoms for each worker;
- Promoting widespread awareness of workplace harassment to effectively combat such behaviors;
- Preventing the risk of committing crimes as outlined in Legislative Decree 231 of 2001;
- Preventing, detecting, and addressing corruption risks.
The general management is committed to making this “corporate policy” available to all staff, clients, suppliers, contractors, certification bodies, and any interested party upon request. Garramone defines Quality as providing a service that meets the client’s needs in a timely manner and at a reasonable cost. Garramone aims to integrate the consideration of environmental aspects at various stages of service delivery, involving all direct and indirect activities, both internal and external. Garramone is committed to Health and Safety in managing its activities in harmony with society and the environment without compromising the health of those who interact with it. Garramone is committed to the prevention, where possible and concretely feasible, of the commission of crimes outlined by Legislative Decree 231/2001 and, in consolidation with the aforementioned model, the prevention of corruption risks.
Certifications
To obtain, document, and ensure compliance with the desired Quality, Environment, Health, and Safety standards and the prevention of corruption, Garramone has undertaken a program that has its strength in the integration of the four systems for which it has decided to conform to the prevailing international standards.
The Integrated Policy constitutes a structural reference for defining and reviewing the objectives for Quality, Environment, Health and Safety, and anti-corruption.
Quality Objectives
The general management, within the context of the Quality program, intends to achieve the following objectives, delegating the Corporate Objectives Plan the goals, action plans, and quantified values of the targets:
- Strengthen our image and market presence;
- Ensure efficient and effective resources for the Corporate Management System in relation to the responsibilities and tasks assigned to them;
- Ensure that safety and health in production processes are managed in a controlled manner and that safety performance is always monitored starting from compliance with applicable legislation;
- Ensure qualified and evaluated suppliers for the Corporate Management System, creating a trusted supplier package;
- Reduce costs due to poor purchases; • Increase market presence;
- Satisfy client requirements.
Environmental Objectives
The company commits to managing environmental issues based on the following principles, delegating the Environmental Objectives Plan the goals, action plans, and quantified values of the targets:
- Reduce the impact from vehicle movements;
- Improve awareness among all staff on environmental issues;
- Sensitize suppliers on environmental issues;
- Reduce the impact of waste produced;
- Reduce the impact of emissions into the atmosphere.
Health and Safety Objectives
Garramone commits to:
• Documenting through this attachment to the Quality, Environment, Health, and Safety Manual “The Corporate Policy”;
• Successfully implementing what is described in the following points after proper planning and preparation of the Safety management system;
• Reviewing the policy annually during the Management Review to ensure continuous adequacy;
• Reflecting in the policy the principles used for hazard identification, risk assessment, and risk control;
• Documenting, implementing, and reviewing; • Reducing and/or eliminating with prevention actions, illnesses, and injuries;
• Complying with applicable laws and technical standards by constantly following their updates and evolution;
• Continuously improving its Health and Safety performance and its Safety Management System;
• Setting safety objectives and programs starting from the commitments made regarding the reduction/elimination of occupational illnesses and injuries, improving Health and Safety performance, and developing awareness and responsibility among those working on behalf of Garramone;
• Documenting and reviewing the improvement achieved in the Safety Objectives document managed through a specific program of resources, capabilities, times, and financial means;
• Providing resources, capabilities, and funds to implement the commitments of this policy and Safety objectives;
• Developing awareness and responsibility on Health and Safety among all collaborators through a continuous process of monitoring, training, and information;
• Sharing objectives and implementation programs with those working within the organization;
• Providing health and safety to its collaborators and operators who interact with it;
• Maintaining a relationship with authorities, the public, and other companies by providing all necessary information to understand risks and health and safety effects and disseminating “The Corporate Policy” through the website;
• Considering the Health and Safety Management System and related results as fundamental elements of the company’s success and activity;
• Monitoring the application of prevention for Health and Safety of workers;
• Involving and consulting workers, including through the Workers’ Representative.
Objectives of the Organizational, Management, and Control Model and Anti-Corruption System
Garramone commits to:
• Prohibiting corruption;
• Pursuing legislative compliance regarding anti-corruption;
• Periodically verifying the appropriateness of this policy to the Organization’s objectives;
• Using this policy as a reference framework for the objectives plan;
• Preventing and reasonably limiting potential risks related to corporate activities regarding illegal conduct and corruption episodes;
• Providing adequate and appropriate resources for the effective and efficient functioning of the Anti-Corruption Management System;
• Communicating the content of this policy within and outside the company;
• Ensuring that everyone operating on behalf of Garramone understands that violations of the provisions contained in the model may result in penalties and administrative sanctions not only against them but also against Garramone;
• Informing everyone working with Garramone that violations of the model’s provisions will result in the application of appropriate sanctions or termination of the contractual relationship;
• Communicating the importance of the Anti-Corruption Management System and its compliance with standard requirements to everyone working for Garramone;
• Promoting a culture against corruption within the organization and continuously improving the Management System;
• Not tolerating any form of illegal conduct regardless of the purpose;
• Identifying behaviors that Garramone condemns;
• Monitoring the sectors of activity and related crime risks;
• Encouraging the use of reporting procedures for suspected or confirmed acts of corruption, ensuring the absence of retaliation;
• Monitoring the absence of retaliation, discrimination, or actions against personnel for reporting or refusing to participate in acts of corruption;
• Making the role of the compliance function for anti-corruption clear, with the authority and independence assigned to it.
Objectives towards ESG aspects
Garramone commits to:
• Promoting the integration of ESG (environmental, social, corporate) factors in business activities as per the corporate purpose, respecting the constitutional framework (Art. 41, paragraph 2) where economic activity must not be conducted in contrast with social utility or in a way that harms health, the environment, safety, freedom, human dignity;
• Pursuing the corporate purpose by seeking environmental protection, community promotion, welfare, care, and equal treatment among workers;
• In conducting its business, seeking operational methods that do not impose anything on natural systems, reducing harmful emissions, and energy consumption. The company prioritizes investments in research and innovation aimed at continuous know-how development, identifying increasingly effective solutions to major environmental challenges, improving plant efficiency, and equipping itself with autonomous sustainable energy sources;
• Pursuing forms of business collaboration and establishing commercial relationships with operators not known to have environmental crime records or prohibitions;
• Contributing to enabling the people composing it and those affected by its activities to meet their fundamental human needs for subsistence, rest, identity, affection, freedom, protection, thus integrating social progress into the economic development process of the company and its growth in competitiveness and productivity;
• Prohibiting any behavior that may harm the dignity, freedom, psychological well-being of the person, causing forms of anxiety and severe psychological distress, negatively affecting the personal and work life of those subjected to it;
• Promoting a work environment focused on organizational well-being, ensuring equal opportunities, excluding discrimination, and banning any form of violence, including psychological;
• Sanctioning any behavior that offends the dignity of the person in its entirety and that compromises personal freedom and expression;
• Protecting the health and psychological well-being of its employees and their professional development by implementing psychological coaching paths, professional qualification and updating, and investments in dedicated spaces.
The policy applies to the entire company, from top management to every worker, maintained as documented information, and communicated to all personnel operating on behalf of Garramone to ensure the principles are understood and effectively applied through the methods, procedures, and checks the system requires.
