Basilicata in Podcast: BASILICATA IN PODCAST; a company from 0 to 100 and continuously growing Leave a comment / Latest news / By Garramone Editorial Team A Lucanian company born from the intuition of grandfather Michele and today distinguished for quality and environmental sustainability.
AGR We are in 1978. Michele Garramone is a small third-party hauler but dreams big and wants to make a leap in quality. During his travels, he observes vehicles on the road and notices one that no one in Basilicata owns. It is a vacuum truck: a special vehicle equipped with a tank that allows the extraction of liquid from biological tanks, sewer systems, and any other container that needs cleaning. Driven by his ambition, he buys the first vacuum truck, a red Fiat model, thus becoming the first Lucanian to own this special vehicle. Today, the family company owns 100 vehicles and employs more than 100 highly qualified and specialized employees.
The company has three locations in Basilicata: Viggiano, Tito, and Guardia Perticara, and deals with the management and brokerage of waste from collection to disposal. An activity that boasts several Uni En Iso certifications, demonstrating attention to the environment, health, and worker safety. Grandfather Michele’s legacy was carried on by his son Antonio, who passed it on to his children Anna and Michele. Anna, at just 34 years old, leads a continuously growing company that manages to combine quality business and environmental sustainability.
